The Eta Alpha Chapter (HA)

The brothers of the Eta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. would like to welcome you to our home.

On April 4, 1970 , 9 determined and brilliant men at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia established the Eta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. We refer to these men as the "Mystic 9". The founding brothers of the Eta Alpha Chapter are: Brother George Bailey, Brother Rowland Troupe, Brother Johnny Gardner, Brother Louis Thomas, Brother Frank Hainey, Brother David Reynolds, Brother Jake Williams, Brother Willie Rogers, Brother Marshall Tatum. The "Mystic 9" was the first fraternity line to be pledged on the yards of Paine College and initiated by the alumni chapter. Almost 40 years later the Eta Alpha Chapter has produced leaders of Paine College all who have held leadership positions ranging from Student Government Association President to Mr. Paine College. Indeed the Legacy will live on forever!
